Topsail Beach is one of the few beaches on the coast that still has that “old school” beach feel to it. The same building, restaurants and piers still remain since I was a kid. It has a great family atmosphere.
Topsail Beach also has some of the best fishing on the coast in the summer and fall. Known for its large schools of big Kings making offshore in the summer and the biggest trout you can find in the fall. Crystal clear water also makes this a great spot for the sight fisherman. Plenty of flats to slide up on allow you to and get on the Reds tailing in the mornings. There are breathtaking landscapes and estuaries that are only able to be seen with the proper boat and captain to guide you.
Topsail Beach has some of the best Red and Flounder fishing that you can find on the East Coast. Most of these fish are caught in less than 6” of water. These areas are great for beginners and experienced fisherman alike. I take many fly fisherman every year year, if this is something you want to learn this is the place for you.
